About
My journey into software development began in 2008 when I became an intern at Clearwater Paper Corporation in my hometown of Lewiston, Idaho. I had already been making websites at that point, but this is when I learned that the web was actually the ultimate platform for developing software.
Before finishing my B.A.S in Web Development, I started working at Lewis-Clark State College where my primary duties were maintaining our web presence, helping teacher education students build online portfolios, and assisting faculty and students with various technologies.
Realizing I wanted to take my career back to the private sector and push myself further into the world of software development, I moved across the country and took a job with Hudson Integrated, an agency specializing in custom-built ecommerce solutions, located in northern New Jersey near New York City.
I spent more than four years building tailored solutions for businesses spanning all sorts of industries, such as automotive parts fabrication, flooring, social media, entertainment, fabric, technology, legal services, and so much more. I helped these clients reach hundreds of thousands of people and make millions of dollars while also streamlining their internal processes and helping their businesses operate much more smoothly.
In 2018, I was presented with an opportunity to realize a lifelong dream of working in the video game industry and I became a .NET Web Developer with Curse in Huntsville, Alabama. At the time, Curse was the premier provider for community sites for many video games including World of Warcraft, Diablo, and Hearthstone, to name a few.
Curse was acquired by Fandom in 2019 and my team’s focus shifted to D&D Beyond, the ultimate digital tool-set for Dungeons and Dragons. Since then, I have jumped head first into the world of role-playing games and split my time between leading an engineering team and working on initiatives to help nurture our amazing company culture through hackathons, All Hands meetings, happy hours, and working to help streamline our hiring processes to bring in the most amazing talent possible.
When I’m not working, you’ll find me with my awesome husband and our two amazing pups. I love binge watching old TV shows and marathon-watching my favorite movie series. I also enjoy playing video games - my favorites being World of Warcraft, and anything in the 3D platformer and horror genres. When I’m feeling creative, I like to bake or do my nails and sometimes work on side projects.
On the web, you’ll likely see me as Triskit, or more likely irTriskit since it’s not terribly original. I wish I could tell you a great story for why my username is a misspelling of a semi-popular snack, but high school was a weird time and it’s still one of the better ones I’ve used over the years so I’ve just decided to embrace it rather than go through an online identity crisis.
